Home Cooking Class featuring Tita Ganda
Seafood City launches a series of cooking workshops or classes in Seattle. The program, called SEAFOOD CITY HOME COOKING CLASS is designed to help you come up with easy-to-prepare, delicious meals on a tight budget.
The class features local talent Tita Ganda.
The Home Cooking Class features 10 weekly sessions, each session lasting about an hour. The course topic will focus on easy techniques for making homemade kakanin (native Philippine rice cakes and desserts).
In the Philippines, the tradition of Kakanin-making is passed on from generation to generation. To make authentic kakanin takes a lot of time and effort.
Here in the US, ready-made kakanin is usually available off the supermarket shelf. However, nothing tastes as good as freshly-made kakanin!
And with our cooking class, we will show how you can make delicious kakanin, using the ingredients available at Seafood City.
The HOME COOKING CLASS is held at Seafood City Seattle every Wednesday, 5 p.m. For a limited time, participation is free of charge. All you need to do is present a receipt and you can join the class! But slots are limited so sign up now: marketing@seafoodcity.com.
Class schedules: Sept. 15, 22, 29. Oct. 6, 13, 20, 17. Nov. 3, 10, 17.
