Tukwila, Wash. -- In a spectacular show of “Pinoy Power,” Filipino Americans from all over Washington State and beyond (some from as far as Oregon, Alaska and Vancouver, B.C.), came for the grand opening of Seafood City Marketplace at Westfield Southcenter in Tukwila, Wash. Thursday, July 22, 2010.

“It has been an amazing weekend, brimming with fantastic deals, giveaways and exciting events,” said Seafood City Manager Eucliff Cheng, adding that “this is one of the best grand openings for Seafood City, with overwhelming patronage and traffic sustained for the longest time in our experience with new stores. This indicates a clear demand for our products and services. More significantly, a sense of belonging and pride as a community.”

At over 44,000 square feet, Seafood City will feature fresh seafood and meat departments, a wide selection of fresh produce and bakery, as well as quick grab and go options. Seafood City ’s first Washington location mixes Asian and Filipino influenced offerings with practical products to serve the diverse population of Seattle and beyond.

Seafood City Marketplace is lcoated at the north side, 1368 Westfield Southcenter Mall, Tukwila, Washington 98188. Store hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
