Health authorities have determined that limiting face-to-face contact with others is the best way to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This is called physical or social distancing which is keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home. At this time, it is recommended that two people with masks should keep a physical distance of at least 6 feet apart.

People can spread the virus before they know they are sick. So, it is important to stay away from other people as much as possible, even if they have no symptoms. Remember these steps:

  • Stay at least 6 feet away from other people.
  • Do not gather in groups. Ten or more people are forbidden to gather but to be safe, the less, the better.
  • Stay out of crowded places.
  • Only go out of your homes for really essential reasons such as buying food or medicine.
  • Avoid public transportation when possible.
  • Never go outside your homes without masks and gloves for protection.

In Seafood City stores, we urge everyone to practice social distancing by keeping space between one another. This is one of the best tools we have to avoid being exposed to this virus and slowing its spread locally and across our communities.
